Applications called for Augusta Zadow Awards

SafeWork SA has $20,000 available through the Augusta Zadow Awards to help develop an initiative or practical solution that makes a significant contribution to the health and safety of women working in South Australia. Applications are open today and close on Friday, 23 June 2017.

Augusta Zadow was South Australia's first "Lady Inspector of Factories" in 1895 and was an advocate for women's rights in the workplace. The awards celebrate the extraordinary achievements of Augusta Zadow, a tenacious advocate for women's rights in the workplace, by providing the opportunity to further improve the lives of women working in South Australia.

Past winning projects have included safety groups for farm women and preventing and managing aggression in aged care.
