Country SA Primary Health Network (CSAPHN) was very pleased to late last year be announced as one of 12 new National Suicide Prevention Trial (NSPT) sites, bringing significant resources, activity and funding to areas of need in regional South Australia.
The two-year trial now underway is targeting populations identified at a local level as "at risk", and to help get a good picture of the needs across the State, a series of Regional Suicide Prevention forums are being held -- including one at Minlaton on 31 January.
Locals are encouraged to attend this important information gathering event. It will be held at Minlaton Golf Club, from 10 am - 1 pm.
The forum supports work being carred out in collaboration with stakeholders, community members, consumers, carers, community organisations and service providers, to identify gaps and opportunities in regional suicide prevention. Recommendations will help shape the development of local and regional community prevention action plans, and the allocation of resources to progress these important plans.
Lunch will be provided - RSVP (by Thursday 25th January) to Hayley Colyer, email: email@example.com
If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, contact Hayley at the above email, or participate in a survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DH8RTLC
